The City of Los Angeles Department on Disability is honored to host the 18th Annual DEAFestival Los Angeles.
As co-sponsor and co-host since DEAFestival began in 1999, we are proud to know that our partnership has helped the Nation’s premier celebration of Deaf Awareness Month grow into one of the largest and best attended cultural events in the City.
This important and unifying event for the deaf community is dedicated to enhancing the daily lives of all Angelenos, with an emphasis on folks who are deaf, deaf-blind or hard of hearing. DEAFestival is a wonderful opportunity to experience extraordinary artistic talent, to learn about city can community services, and to gain a greater understanding of our rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act. It is street fair, community organizing opportunity, and arts festival all-in-one.
The City of Los Angeles remains dedicated to advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities in all their diversity, and ensuring that city programs, services and facilities are not only accessible but welcoming to all Angelenos. We encourage people from all Los Angeles communities to join us on for a fun filled and culturally rich day in the heart of LA.
