On behalf of the City of Los Angeles, Councilmembers Mitch O’Farrell and the
Department on Disability are proud to host the 19th Annual DEAFestival (DFLA) on
Saturday, September 30, 2017.
Los Angeles' ability to celebrate our differences and embrace the contributions of each
person sets our great city apart. Please join DFLA’s ongoing efforts to tailor services for
the deaf, offer hope and guidance, and raise the self-esteem of our deaf youth to have a
transformative impact on Los Angeles residents. In addition to its resource fair,
DEAFestival will host a “Deaf Got Talent” competition and fashion shows, which provide
the opportunity for this unique community to display its multitude of talents to family,
friends, and the general public.
DFLA touches the lives of thousands of deaf individuals and their families. In order to
ensure its continued success in 2017, we are asking you to consider sponsoring this
