Letter from President, Los Angeles City Council
Dear Potential Sponsor,

On Saturday, September 28, 2013, I will be sponsoring the 15th Annual DEAFestival Los Angeles at City Hall. I am thrilled to invite you to participate and sponsor this outstanding event.

DEAFestival Los Angeles is one of the largest and most important community events in the City of Los Angeles, giving thousands of children, youth and families in the Deaf and hearing impaired community access to many resources that service the Deaf community.

These organizations provide critical information on programs that focus on youth, health, foster care, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, domestic violence, hearing dogs for seniors, and many other services that improve the quality of life for the Deaf community.

Attendees will have an opportunity to fully experience and participate in a number of cultural and artistic performances. Deaf artists will have an opportunity to display their own talents while the hearing community will gain an understanding, sense of awareness, and a better appreciation of all the wonderful work surrounding deafness.

It is not only an event for the Deaf and hard of hearing constituency, but rather a forum where seniors, educational professionals, and community members can find helpful products and information that will better equip them when engaging the Deaf community.

We are excited to continue to serve and support the Deaf and hard-of hearing community and I look forward to working with you as we continue to provide additional opportunities for youth and families residing in the City of Los Angeles and throughout Southern California.

If you have any questions, please contact Bertha Velasquez at 213- 473-7006. Let’s make this event one of the best the City of Los Angeles has to offer!
